AMD Launches 6th Gen EPYC 9006 Series Server Processors for Agentic AI
AMD officially released its 6th Generation EPYC 9006 series server processors (code name Venice), built on Zen6 architecture and TSMC 2nm process.
The flagship model EPYC 9996 supports up to 256 cores and 512 threads per socket. It comes with 16-channel DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen6 interface and supports MRDIMM memory speed up to 12800 MT/s.
This new generation of EPYC CPUs is specially built for agentic AI, cloud virtualization, enterprise database, high-performance simulation and HPC workloads. It provides higher core density, better memory bandwidth and excellent performance per watt for modern data centers.
Compared with previous generation server chips, the 6th Gen EPYC improves throughput greatly for AI inference and multi-agent computing. We provide a full range of AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon server CPUs for worldwide enterprise and server integrators.
